A life long book and reading enthusiast having started my reading journey as a young child in my late dads bookshop in our local town. Growing up I had a parent who encouraged my reading journey by not only buying me all the books I needed and sometimes accepting reading as a chore but also being a great reader himself. Reading formed me into the Orator, trainer, teacher, entrepreneur and author that I now am. Reading informed me on areas of personal growth, , relationships, business acumen ship and living a surrendered life to the creator of the universe.
Reading opened me to the world of many great men and women both living and departed whose lives have had tremendous impact on many generations.
This rich heritage spurred me on to:
1.Start the African Book Hub: A passion driven bookstore retailing all genre of books and that is dedicated to making reading delightful, impactful and common place for as many readers as possible.
2. Start the Fountain book club as a place of connecting with great minds through books with other book lovers and also as a place of nurture for upcoming readers
3. Author the Auntie Yanna reading series for children age 7-10. The series is both entertaining and teaches values to the reader. Presented in very attractive ways and loaded with activities that make reading Delightful to many children one child, one book at a time
4. Start the Rising Entrepreneur Class as a bridge connecting entrepreneurs to the places they have envisioned themselves to be and scale to dominance. A class that is powered by one of the greatest entrepreneurship books of our time : Give Me My Mountain by Dr Esther Muchemi and supported by other entrepreneurship resources both local and international.
5. Start the Auntie Yanna Book Club that makes reading Delightful and commonplace for kids and is grounded on allowing children to connect with the entire writing process from authorship, publishing, illustration so as to enrich their appreciation as well as mentor those who want to walk the authorship journey. Through the club we are enabled to vet content as well as sponsor reading programs.
6. Start the Heroines table banking as a means of resourcing the various projects of the members including ours.
7. We envision a time when we shall become direct players in the education sector by setting up a learning institution that will encapsulate the spirit behind the much wisdom knowledge and insights gathered on our journey and passing it on to next generation as an add on to the formal education process.
I am Great lover of God, family and Books.
