Advancing In Mathematics Form 1

Advancing in Mathematics is a new course that fully covers the new Kenya Secondary School Mathematics Syllabus. The series:

• Uses a learner-centred approach, emphasising on activity and discovery by students.

• Uses simple language, appropriate to the level of the learner.

• Approaches concepts in a simplified manner.

• Provides a variety of well graded exercises for each subtopic.

• Provides highlights (in screens) of the main concepts and formulas, for easy reference, especially quick revision.

 • Provides points of interest, wherever possible, such as a short history behind a given concept, in order to make the learning of    mathematics even more enjoyable.

• Has a comprehensive teacher’s guide, providing, among other things, guidelines on how to teach the various concepts and answers to exercises.  Advancing in Mathematics Form 1 is the third title in a series of four titles. It provides a comprehensive coverage of the new Mathematics Syllabus for Form 1.
