Maya and her brother Kirui visit their grandfather. They find him using a stick cut from a tree branch to support himself. Maya thinks that the stick is too weak but Kirui and grandfather believe that the stick is just okay. Maya is not satisfied. She thinks her grandfather deserves a brand-new crutch.
